On 6 March 2019, Petrol Chilikov organized a discussion session on “Feminist Legal Studies: A Critical Look” at the International and Comparative Law Research Center. Olesya Petrol and Elena Mazetova talked on “Feminist Legal Studies”, a hotly debated topic in Western legal discourse, and shared their views on related practices of Russian courts. Then Egor Chilikov led a public interview with Tamara Georgievna Morshchakova, Doctor of Law, professor at the Higher School of Economics and a Retired Deputy Chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation.
Participants discussed effects of the gender factor on transformation of well-known legal concepts, as well as related issues of enforcement in tort law.
