Partner Olesya Petrol spoke at the session of the regular conference of St Petersburg Bar Institute. The theme of the conference was “NON-lasting Values: Business, Friendship, Family.
Olesya’s presentation focused on good and bad faith actions of spouses in bankruptcy and non-bankruptcy situations. Olesya explained which spousal transactions may be deemed harmful and which are legitimate, under what circumstances creditors may foreclose on the family property, and under what circumstances actions by spouses may qualify as causing damage, when a nuptial agreement has an effect on creditors, and whether a spouse can prevent the sale of family property from a bankruptcy auction.
