On 21 May 2019, KLR, Petrol Chilikov and Vegas Lex organized a seminar for insurance practitioners in CPEDA LOFT on hot topics regarding insurance of damages caused by business interruption and their adjudication in arbitration. The seminar took form of a mock arbitration process (business game), where participants addressed a simulated mock case. Speakers presented their arguments on interpretation of the mock insurance contract and calculation of losses based on facts of the simulated case.
Victor Petrov of Vegas Lex and Sergey Bukreev of KLR pleaded for the insured. Egor Chilikov of Petrol Chilikov and Dmitry Norkin of MDD forensic accountants played for the insurer. Nikolai Galushin, Chairman of the Board of RNRC, Irina Alpatova, Deputy General Director of Alfa Insurance, and Andrey Gorlenko, executive administrator of the Russian Arbitration Center acted as mock arbitrators. Mikhail Vasiliev of Willis CIS moderated the event.
